If having a respray on a vinyl car(Charger) and deciding to not have the vinyl is it as easy as it sounds or is it a nightmare? Hope that made sense, i've always preferred the non vinyl look

Usually not as easy, the roof is bare metal and usually suffers a bit, the joints are tatty as well and need cleaning up, moulding fixing holes need closing up. It is very do able though.

My charger origianaly had a vinyl roof, vinyl had been removed when i got it and roof wasnt to bad, had to weld a few joins up and lead them.

Idecided to keep the moulding trim round the sail panels so i had somewhere to hide the join in the paint, so i can paint it in stages.

Is there any way of telling before you take the vinyl off if it's bad underneath?

You could take the Headliner out and look, might give a good idea to what the other side might be like ??
