Would 15 X 10 size wheels and 295/50/15 tyres rub for the rear of a 1968 Charger? The front would be 15 X 7 wheels and 245/60/15 tyres, cheers

I have 295x50x15 with 8" rims & don,t rub.If you fit 10s on there, you might run into problems. The reason I say this is I have 12mm wheel spacers on mine & do get a rub on the top of the arch.I overcame this by using air shocks, problem is, it puts awful stress on the spring perches, plus the fact that you may as well be driving a barge if pumped up to much. What I should've said is a bigger barge than it normally feels :D .The right way to do it is to have the springs rearched, done by a good company.I have new hemi springs on mine, but the cars should sit,as factory, with the springs more or less straight. In which case your stuffed. :D :D Justin,I know the look you're after, but you ain't gonna get it without any mods, sorry mate.

Cheers Adam, i've found a good one from a guy that Tony O's company deal with and these are the size he is planning on fitting on the car, I can't really tell him not to as I haven't even agreed to buy the car yet but he knows his Mopars so I guess he knows what he is doing

Justin you still won't get the look you're after with those tyres,as I see it you want the rear wheels to come out further, just sitting back from the arch.If you fit those tyres you still won't get what your after.BTW 8s look better than 7s on front.I added something to previous post just before you posted.

So with those sizes I gave you what will it look like? Do you have any example pictures? He just sent an Email and he mentioned the wheels and he said he's confident they will be ok as he has new air shocks on it

P.S Adam you're getting my name wrong, it's Justin : )

You should be ok with that wheel & tyre combo, the only thing that would concern me is if the leaves are ok & not tired,as I said before the air shocks when pumped up put a put strain on the perches.Anyway, where did I get your name wrong.any evidence. :D :D

Just say NO to air shocks, bad bad idea full stop. It used to be thought it was a decent plan, but many failiures, crashes and possibly deaths later idea's have changed.
You have been wanrned (again)

I have 295/50/15s on 8" wheels with 4" backspacing with no mods
they'd fit on 10" wheels with 5" backspace, I have loads of room on the spring side
it depends on the tyre, a 295 street tyre isn't 295 wide
a drag radial or race tyre is the full 295 and is noticably bigger

Adam I think the edit button is being used : )

I believe he is fitting BF Goodrich, like I said I haven't said i'm buying it yet so I can't really tell him to put smaller tyres on etc
