O.K,

As I mentioned elsewhere here, I have a MAJOR leak from the pas box.

Or is it more likely the pump?? I know it sounds silly that I can't tell but the box is drenched in fluid so I thought it'd be that but then I thought it might be the pump leaking onto the box??

It's got to the point where it leaks fairly badly while I'm messing about revving doing the timing..

Wipe the pump and box clean then start the engine and watch You might be lucky and find that the return pipe clamp is loose or the pressure pipe union is slack. (that's all mine was)

First bit of advice Big Kahuna, is get the car to a jetwash, having coated the whole area with Gunk (or equivalent). Work the Gunk in to the box and hoses - everywhere, with a stiff bristle brush, then jet Bananarama! off. Let it dry, get yer motor run-in (cruise on down the highway), leave it standing and running and go lock to lock on the steering a good few times.

Find out EXACTLY what is leaking and from where. Leaking fluids can travel a long way across components on a moving vehicle.

Steve what ever you do dont panic even if the box is leaking its probably straight underneath the top cover where your pressure hose attches to the box and underneath thats only three rubber o rings easy fix.

Not so easy to re-fit though. You can't just bolt it back on.

If it doesnt line up the steering will either go hard left or right dont put your hands through the steering wheel when you go to start the motor it can and will hurt you
