Yet another steering question

Have scanned thru the site for info - but cant find much about the steering coupling...but mine is veeery loose! There is a lot of play in the actual coupling. Is there anything that may jump out at me if I take the securing pin out and the cap on the coupler to examine?
The manual doesnt seem to show much detail of this.

The pitman arm?
They do tend to wear quite heavily, replacement is the name of the game. Might aswell do the idler arm at the same time. will need a strong puller (hydraulic) they tend to be quite stuck on.

No, James, Pitman seems ok. The actual steering column coupler to the box (Power box).

Hey Ian!
You mean the (for want of a better word) universal joint??
If so, just get a re-build kit. If you take it apart, all you have is the two links(I dont know what else to call them) which are held in place via the pin that goes through the actual column and maybe a spring retainer thing but when I re built mine I found the original did'nt have this spring so now it's well tight in there and works great.
Sorry if I've misunderstood you .... if so,

I'll get me coat

for info....
The original 2x blocks in the coupler were 90 degrees out. They are rectangular! DOH! No flippin wonder there was play. Replaced anyway.
