With all this kiddy safety thing doing the rounds the wife has banned the kids from going out in the Chargers.....(their favorite cars)
Obviously they are gutted and refuse to speak to her now but it doesn't help me much either since I enjoy having them with me.
Has anyone fitted 3 point statics in the rear of a 68 or 69 or does anyone know if it can be done?
I have the standard lap belts so it'll just be a case of finding a shoulder strap anchor point?
thanks

I have fitted 3 point inertia reels in a '69. Morning's work.
Most of the anchor points are located in as standard on a car of that age and seat belt bolts and threads are universal so that makes it easier.
You have to drill 1 hole (depending on the kit) to anchor the reel section. There is a hole for the belt to pass through on the parcel shelf steel - you will have to cut the parcel shelf "tray" which is easy.
Well worth doing IMHO.

Thanks Pete
Are you saying you fitted inetia belts..?
Where are the standard achor points located for the reel and shoulder bits?
Which kit and where did you get it from or are they std "Sabelt"?
Sorry for all the Q's but you can see I'm keen to get this sorted.

There isn't one that I know of - that is why I had to drill the hole as mentioned in my response.

They were "Securon" bought from a local motorfactor. Halfords or anyone should be able to sell you a suitable set. As Dave would say, get your measuring tape out.
Remove the back seat and have a good look around - it will soon become apparent.

Do you know if this applies to '66 cars Pete?
I'll have to fit some to the Belve at some point.

If it helps, seatbelts from a Wrangler Jeep TJ fit really nice on my 67 Dart.
Had to make fixing points mind.
