I will be ordering some Centrelines Auto Drag wheels today hopefully, now I am going to go 15 X 10 on the back and 15 X 8 on the front, will this be too big? I'm not clued up on offset and backspacing etc so what do I need to do to find out about that? 1968 Charger, i'm sure the guy at Webster Engineering will know but I thought I would do some research before ringing, thanks

I presume you've tubbed the Charger then Justin?

No it's not tubbed, I know I always refer to Alan Rush's car but that's how I want the wheels to look on it, i'm not sure what size he has though, perhaps I should go smaller, maybe 15 X 9 on rear, 15 X 7 on front? Thoughts please, on the black Mustang I had 15 X 7 all round but that was a smaller car obviously

In which case, I'd say 10 x 15s will almost certainly rub the arches, even with a big offset.
Mine are 8.5 x 15s with a 4.25" offset and 275 x 60 tyres and they fill up the arches quite nicely...what's more don't rub under any circumstances.
There have been loads of threads on wheel and tyre sizes in the past, so a trawl through the archive, should help out.

10x15's will go on easily with the right offset and tyres those rear arches are huge, admittedly these are 8" rims but the 295/50/15s fit easily and I have loads of room between the tyre and spring, just measure carefully, or better yet try some before you buy, I think 4.5" or 5" backspace is what you'll need
I like the white top

but I know it would be a bugger to keep clean

Anyone know where I can get the correct vinyl paint? Or the name of the product? And most importantly if it's done properly does it look ok?

There is a HUGE difference in total width between a 295/50/15 on a 8-inch rim and on a 10-inch rim.
Trust me I know. I have tried both on the rear of the Chally.

thats why he'd need more backspace than me if he used a 10" rim
best thing is to try some if you can

I hope there is more room under a Charger than under the Challenger (which has a longer axle) because with those tyres on 10" rims you need to move the springs inboard to clear the sidewalls. This is with 5.5" backspace.
I still had to cut the wheel lip too.
