Re: 3 birds 1 owner

Well done Tommy! Fantastic to see 3 wing cars lined up in the UK.

(and thanks Rob for the link to my 2008 MATS photos - shame about the watermark).

Re: American Speedfest 12 June 7th-8th

I think Speedfest is very good value. £31 for 2 including a full programme of racing.

I just paid £160 for the Thursday at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (other days sold out). There's not even any track action on the Thursday, just new vehicles, mostly electric.

Re: favourite single-1st single

First single I bought was 'Fire' by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown.
Favourite would probably be 'All Along The Watchtower' by Jimi Hendrix

Love that XJ Steve. Still think my 2nd one was the best vehicle I ever owned. Had 2 JKs since, including current one.

Re: Car history…..show us yours.

I used to love those Humbers, you can see the similarities between that and the 55 too, 👍👍

The Humber Hawk was my first car, back in the 70s. Bought it for £65 and put £600 worth of Cragar wheels and tyres on it! In my Walter Mitty world I was Bob Falfa in that black 55. I hung a skull from the ...

Re: insurance premiums

There are only a handful of underwriters that all of the insurance companies use. They have got together to fix prices. Cartels are the way of the modern world.
