It's surprising how quickly you can get cash together if you're prepared to "exist" rather than live for a bit.
If you can cut it out of your life for 6 months consider doing it.

Inlet manifold is a definate no - bolts go in at totally different angles.
Don't know the answer to the other questions - still learning myself!

I did bugger all yesterday, but I didn't quite finish so I suppose I'll have to crack on with that again today!

Have one in my Demon. You will have a two piece speedo cable. Very hard to get.
You can bypass the lot and fit a one piece if you wish.
