I needed a new induction system etc
However the thought of possible dodgy Chinese semi conductors and zero local backup made me stay old school!
New inlet , new distributor , new DP 750 Holley
Blah blah
However I do have option on fuel tanks as I ...

Haha I was speaking figuratively, my project car ,
But it belongs the the now retired owner of the coach company I work for,
As does the container!
I’m just a minion,
The cars almost done now but basically no longer particularly desirable,
Cost vs value is a sticky matter now,
My TA is passion so I ...

Re: My very last restoration!!!

October was my penciled in month,
Simply because I thought I’d be ready to go by then,
And we normally have a half term week where were busy at work , then it’s quiet so an idea time to get it to my booth and colour it,
But looking at where I currently am it’s looking unlikely I’ll be ready by then ...

Re: My very last restoration!!!

I’m currently waiting for a new wiper motor to arrive, then once test fitted I can weld in the upper cowl panel and get it finally all in epoxy,

It’s unlikely now I’ll be in a position to paint the shell by October as I’d hoped, so will probably abort that and get the shell built up and look to do ...

Re: My very last restoration!!!

Got the epoxy blocked and the shell is now in 2k
Primer it’s not laser show straight but way better than driver quality so that’s good enough for the girls I know !

Refurbished the column and the steering wheel
This week, how durable the wheel will be is anyone’s guess,
But it will do for the time ...

Re: My very last restoration!!!

My Shaker has definitely seen some action!
From the part number I think it’s from a 73’
455, guessing some kind of custom at some stage as it was absolutely buried in filler to make it completely smooth?
And it’s been Red at some point, typically Thunderbolt and Lighfoot !
But I’m going to use it ...
