Well, I gave my big ol' beast a wash and a good polish today (careful :!: ) and finally got around to taking a few decent pictures so I can introduce it properly...

Thanks, guys.

I took the pictures in a "turn-out" (lay-by) halfway up a mountain, overlooking the city. In the distance in the 2nd picture you can see the view over the whole greater vancouver area, it's breathtaking!

I'm not going to want to come back to england next year!!

Nice looking car, will you bring the car with you when you come back to the UK

That's the plan!

I took some savings with me with the idea of buying a decent (american, obviously!) car to bring back to britain when my year's visa runs out. As soon as I got here I started out looking for a cheap old banger on ebay, to get us mobile until I found the nice car.

But then I saw the Monaco for only $2000 (about £1200)! I like it so much, I'm thinking I can spend the remainder of the savings tidying up the bodywork (small amounts of rust in the usual places, and plenty of dents from a previous owner) and a few other niggling faults, and it should make a really nice car to bring back.

So there should be one more in britain by next august! Out of interest, does anyone know if there are any other 69 Monacos already in the country? Or am I going to have the only one?

Thanks again for all your kind comments.

Shame you have to come back to UK at all. I'd be spending my spare time trying to find a way to stay.

What a nice looking car Andy, love that 022 pic.
Beautiful location too. I have relatives in Vancouver, and they've always had Mopars - my Uncle bought a 64 Dodge Polara in 1964!
We spent some time there earlier this year as a matter of fact...
