Hi Rod

Definitely interested for sure.

I plan to get the box reconditioned. Is this an easy fit? does it just bolt on and wire up.

Not that knowkedgable on how these things work...perhaps you could explain in doughnut terms :? Does this effectively give me 6 speed?

cheers

viper, I have a GV overdrive, you have an overdrive on each of your original 3 gears, ie 3X2=6, but in practise, I use the box normaly until criusing in top, then hit the overdive button to reduce the revs in top gear. a good idea especially if you have a high stall converter fitted.
I do not at present have the speedo cable cable connected ( as well pointed out by dave in a different thread-its on the to do list though) so cannot comment on using my box in the auto . Its worth logging onto daves link as it explains exactly how to fit it- and there is alot more room under my roadrunner, than as shown in the photos under his chally

Sorry Dave....didn't mean to upset you, I was only gesting. Hence the smileys

You are a very helpful chap indeed that is true.

I've tried registering and logging in but when I click submit it simply clears most of what I had input and I'm back to square one.

Edited to say....I got in there in the end.

Not sure that I can't afford it Dave (although thanks for your concern over my financial situation) But it's more a case whether I can cope with all the agg fitting it.....................You might be a Grumpy old man but you've got lots of patience when it comes to working on your car.
