Agree with Dunc 1,000,000% paint em. Are you going to cut them to a smaller diameter and weld them in so the holes are totally undetectable???

Looking good by the way. :D

I dont think im gunna weld them as it would mean painting the bulk head again, and i dont really wanna do that. but now you got me thinking that i should weld em, its just a lotta work. wish i had realised the holes wernt needed before i painted it.

Nice one Craig, you've managed to get loads done in such a short space of time mate. I'm in the same boat you are/were. I bought the car in a similar state because it was the only way I could afford one at the time and I had a few friends who offered to help me do the work, unfortunately it never works out like that and now I'm lumbered with everything to do myself. The mechanical side I'm not too bad with but bodywork!!!! Not a clue. Guess I'll be starting night school to learn how to weld and paint etc. So good on you mate for getting stuck in, the result is gonna look sweet. :D

Here's mine as she sits now  Sorry about the pic, I'm without my cam at the mo.

Dino, I would strongly consider sending the car out for paint, there's some big flat panels on that car and unless you know what you're doing, the end result might not be good! Normally I'd encourage anyone to have a go at something themselves but bodywork is a bit of an art and you don't learn it in 5 minutes, and a Charger is not the best car to learn on. Others might disagree but I think it's your best way forward. I know it's a chunk of cash but just think, when you get it back all you have to do is repair things and bolt them on, sounds easy doesn't it?

I think you're right Blue, in fact, this is what I've been telling people (family & friends) but most of them have said that I just need to pratice and I'll pick it up  As you said, it's not the type of car you want to learn on either.

Sorry to hi-jack your thread Craig............I'll start a new one with a few questions on bodyshops I think. Cheers Blue. ;)

Finally started to sort my dash out and turn it into a charger dash.
cut the bottom switch holes out the frame and started welding a few brackets on for the gauge holder/ dash back to fix to. looks a bit rough at the mo but you get the idea.
