Clips

Cheers Clive, I wish there was a place over here that did those kind of bits, who ever put the card on that was on there before was attaching it with one clip and some double sided tape

Can't stand those door clips, especialy when you have to cut EVERY square hole in the newly made door card  About 30 holes.

All I did was fix them with about 12 stainless screws & cups,as long as you drill all the holes uniform,I think it's a much better job.You can also get the cards off after, without any breakage.Yea I know about the special tool that should be used :D :D Also silicone the screws to stop any rust in the newly drilled holes.

I know what you mean, I can imagine, although I thought drilling new holes would be frowned upon though?

Can't see a frown on my face,in actual fact,it looks like something that Rolls Royce would be proud of. :D

Just make sure ALL the flat heads are horzontal.Or better still,USE PHILLIPS.

Justin,

I det the impression you dont want to buy from the states????? It really isnt that bad. You can buy a hell of a lot of stuff for your motor from people like USA Imports (Wil on here) but fiddly little clippy type things that are specialist call for Y1 sometimes. They aint that badly priced and they can be here in a jiff mate. ;)

Clive, no I don't mind buying from the USA, it's just that it's quicker and cheaper if there was a place over here, that shifter I got the other week cost an arm and a leg after shipping and import fees etc, I may leave these clips for now anyway and do what Adam says with the screws, I don't suppose glue would work would it?

Yep, glue would work absolutely perfectly mate, ......and then one day you wanna get them off again and you wish glue had never been invented.

I wouldnt glue em. Just an opinion ;)

just read this , may be too late but , get some old ford door trim clips , cortina , escort , or inner capri tail gate trim etc , cut slot where the wire trim clip goes in the charger door trim , so it looks now like a side ways T , then you can line up where the hole in the door is. be carefull you don,t cut the out side of the door trim when doing this. pull a few door trims off at the breakers , you will see what i mean about cutting a slot .
