Blue

get a cheap hand held blast gun and use either normal sand or sharp sand, does have to be dry though.

I would try normal fine sand first, works fine on distributor bodies which are ally.

Do not breath the dust though AT ALL causes silicosis, it breaks down into a very fine dust on impact

It can be a long job but it's relatively free once you have the gun and sand

I have a ton bag here but it's a damn long job drying it this time of year, I just put a pile on cardboard in the workshop, couple of days it's cooked

If you go in any of the larger kids toy shops you can buy dry sand which is bagged for playpits etc

Very nice Bule, its all coming together well.

BTW, a Lee HAS been in Hertford, but due to the nature of the day I thought a photo opportunity was inappropriate....

If you decide to do it yourself I've got a handheld gun you can borrow (like the cabinet guns....but not in a cabinet!!!).

I'd heard glass bead was the media of choice for ally, but having said that thiose daisy mags have quire a rough finish IIRC, so sand would probably be fine

Personally I don't think they are worth the effort Blue.

But I'll take them off your hands if you need shot.......No one likes them Daisy mags anymore ;) ;)
