Anywhere cheaper than Demon Tweeks for race bits?

Post by Holly »

I'm after a 4-point 'sportsman' harness, decent in-car extinguisher and decent stainless hood pins, wheres the best place to get them (and other stuff in the future)?

When I bought the two harnesses for my Coronet I looked at several options including a company that will make custom jobs www.securon.co.uk and the best option I found for quality and price was Neil (Wil) he imported mine and they were still cheaper than buying in the UK.

Other option is to go to the Autosport Trade days 11th & 12th Jan 07 and see what one day only trade offers you can get.

I have 3/4 of a Willans 3 inch five point harness under my desk that you can have for nothing if you can get the bits that bolt to the floor.

DJ harnesses as Jon had are certified also they can be rewebbed and recertified, this does mean sending them back to DJ though but we'd sort that out

If you want a cheap cheap cheap harness thats for show go to Halfords they sell 1000000000s of max power rubbish, may as well use bungee cord.

Thanks Jon 8-)

Trev..... hows the wilwood hubs coming on

Thanks for the offer Jon, I think thats probably more than I need :) Trev can put it to better use than me anyway, lol.

Neil - nope, I'm after what Demon Tweeks used to sell as a 'clubman' harness back before they started doing boy racer parts. They were quicker to clip together than a 'pro' harness, which is what I need since I use the car for work sometimes.

No worries ... I just checked and Demon Tweeks do them for just £43 :) Think I was looking in the wrong place since last time I checked the only one I could find was more like £140 ...

HERE is the Sabelt one. The Shelby will need more pricey ones as I want it all FIA compliant :)
