Great photos and info SandySandy wrote:Hi Duncan,
Cheers.
Did you get my email about the Top Loader ? Sent yesterday-ish ?
The 70-72 Buicks are nice looking cars, and drive well (but I am biased)
The 68 and 69 Skylark/GS's are awful looking cars though.
I saw this at the 1990 Nats. It was cool. (GSX-a-like wagon)

Did you see that Skylark that was for sale with a 6pot in recently? it was a 68 i think? my mate was triying to get me to go for it but although it looked in good condition i could not live with that rear end,and i like my yanks to have 8 cylinders unless its a GN of course

Now this has become the official GSX thred, take a look at this one and read the description. I think the bloke is right, it should be bought

Nice car.
The Duabo's used their Saturn Yellow GSX for the last of the famous hemi v. Stage 1 shootouts running against a 71 hemi cuda. The hemi cude red lit its start but the GSX ran it down and beat it. The hemi owner put his car back on the trailer and refused to participate in the other two runs. MCR never featured it as they said it was an uncompleted race despite having journalists and photographers there.
There is a video of it, and it is very funny as everyone tries to convince the cuda owner to get his car back off the trailer. You can hear folk 'cluck-cluck-clucking' in the background.
Richard Lassiter destroyed the hemi myth in 82 when he buried Roy Badie in Florida. The Duabos finished it off ten years later.
However, Dave Dudek and Joel Nystrom have really brought it back these days and their cars are strong. Greg 'the snake' Gessler gives them a run for their money though.
Fun days.
