Some help for a fellow yank enthusiast

To help out a fella spoken to yesterday,

Does anyone on here re-build Ford C4 auto boxes? Its from a 68 Muzzie with a 289.

Ideally they need to be in or around London but any location considered (in the UK of course).

It would be a stock rebuild, with a new stock TC required.

This guy is being quoted some ridiculous prices.

I think its more a peace of mind rebuild rather than the box having anything seriously wrong with it so a standard rebuild kit should do it.

not sure if Alders is where the quote came from - funny feeling it might be tho. I nearly spat donut all over the fella when I heard how much he was being quoted.

Clivey - I have an auto box from a Granada V6 was rebuilt before I got it, never used it as the problem was caused by my convertor, I'm almost certain these are C4's - anybody confirm?

No longer have a use for it, £30. Appreciate it's a bit of a hike though, if it is a C4 maybe we can sort a way of getting it there?
