Dual exhaust conversion

I'm converting my 383 2bbl charger to dual exhaust I've bought the dual exhuast ready made. But today when I offered up the front pipes to the stock manifolds the flanges were way out, about 90 degrees. Anyone know if I can simply cut the flanges from the front pipes and reweld them in the correct position or will I need different manifolds. I'm guessing that the manifold flanges are at the wrong angle anyway which will throw everything off further down the exhaust.

The aftermarket exhausts are usually set up for HiPo manifolds so that will be your problem mate, try and find HiPo manifolds seconhand and you will be better off all round, the HiPo's flow almost as good as headers!
