Dear Mrs Longshot.

If you tell me what speed you want best petrol mileage at (i.e. 70mph),

The duration of your camshaft,

And the exact size of your rear tyres

I can work out an axle ratio to best suit.

Whats the betting it works out the same as Duncs suggestion?

3.08 is good enough.

3.23 is better.

I think there is a 3.54, and a 3.73.

Depends what axle is in it. I assume it will be a corporate 10 bolt, and not a Chevy 10 bolt or 12 bolt. Corporate axle stuff used to be difficult to get bits for, but I think it is a lot better now. The coporate axle doesn't used C-clips, which is a big advantage.

Remember, it isn't a MoPar so it doesn't need so much gearing assistance to get it off the line :D

Hi Longshot,

Done a few Pon400's, and that looks like a lot of cam to me!
Need the tyre height to do a proper Calc.
But nearer to 3.90's will do the BIZ on da strip!

How's the Main bearing hunt going?

Best wishes Baccman.

We used to have a club member like that (still a member and reading this?) called Space Nuts? So called because there is a space where his nuts used to be.
