440 valley pan gaskets

do you need the paper gaskets with the high performance felpro valley pan aluminium gasket or do you just use the silicone sealant alone?

A smear of blue Hylomar or similar around the ports normally does the trick. I avoid using silicone sealer anywhere it will come into contact with petrol, as it is not resistant and sooner or later it just turns to a sticky goo which has a horrible habit of finding it's way into things that you didn't want blocking....
