When the torque convertor is completely seated on the trans there will be about an inch or more between a straight edge placed across the face of the bell housing and the torque convertor.
There are three different engagements as the convertor goes on.

Ford type F is meant to give firmer shifts. You'll need at least 2 gallons if the 'vertor is dry. I think I got 10l into my 904 from fresh.

I dont know what flex plate you've got but before install, offer it up to the convertor and see which way the holes line up best and number them.

Good point mick! I stuck a chisel in the edge to mark both the flex and 'Vertor.
