On this picture of a 71 challenger, viewed from above at the front....
'the wide bit of metal that goes above the grille' doesn't sound official enough!

Oh, and anybody got one? :lol:

Yeah, I think pretty much everyone who has a Challenger has one of them \:D/

Looking through a parts manual and similar parts on other Mopars are labled as "reinforcement, upper".

I believe that part is 1971 only as it is part of the grille.

You are correct sir, it is 71 only. I was guessing 'upper grille support' but 'reinforcement, upper' sounds good too. Cheers for the help!
