hello all ,what the best way to paint under wings and floor -iam having car dipped -shall i paint stranght on to primer or treat with sommething frist --

if the guys are dipping it are clued up they should primer the whole shell with a damn good etch primer then it needs priming with a good 2k primer then your top coats, there may exist a special primer for under floor pans maybe ivor knows but i dont think so many people also give the underbody a very mild coat of stone chip paint and paint over that but i dont think either way is any less prone to chipping

Etch primer, 3M smooth stonechip then basecoat and clear as normal...have a look at my web site to see how it's done.

thanks all , ivor cars looking good what spay gun did you use to put 3M on with ,and paint ,thanks Andy
