Starter Relay

Post by Pete »

Just a quick question....

Does the Starter Relay Require an earth from the Transmission Cut out/Reversing light switch to make the Relay operate; or does the Earth PREVENT the Relay from operating......

i.e. can you run the car with the Transmission Cut out/Reversing light switch disconnected or will the car fail to start????

Cheers.

i cut a plug off a datsun loom and soldered it to the end of the dodge loom. looks like a right bodge .

worked fine until in fitted a jensen gearbox, which doesnt have reversing lights switch. doh!
