Trans mount?

Post by RobTwin »

Anyone know if original style trans mounts are available, and from where? We need to replace the one on the Polara cos the rubber's split.

I say original cos we've found some suppliers of mounts with polyurethane instead of rubber, but would like to get a rubber one  if possible.
As we're trying to eliminate some driveline vibrations, I thought the poly might not eliminate the vibrations as much as a new rubber mount.

JWR, USAutomotive & Watford Motor Accessories (A-Z) only keep the later versions (66 and up) which had 1 stud on the base, as opposed to the earlier 2-stud version.

We'll get one of the later ones to replace the one on the Satellite while we're at it, but are struggling to find a supplier of the older type

Grateful for any suggestions.......
