Cheers Kev. Its great to have a car to work on thats rust free. Dunno the gear ratio, can you work it out without removing the back plate? Also, when I spun the wheels on some gravel today I left two lines of chured up stones. Is it posable that the 8 1/4'' is a Suregrip?
Oh and the tape on the tyre is what remains of my masking job. There was a few speckles of surface rust on the quarter so I sanded the quarter back to metal and reprimed the whole quarter.

Get a mucker who can count to at least 6 if you can't. Mark the side of the tyre and datum it to the ground. Get yer mucker to lie under the car and put a bit of BluTac on the prop. Now lie on a skateboard next to the car eyeballing the BluTac. Get yer mucker to push the car forward for one revolution of the wheel whilst you push yerself along on yer skateboard whilst counting the number of revolutions of the prop. Closing your braces in the door will avoid having to push yerself if you have trouble multi-tasking. Example; you see the BluTac 2 times and now its on top of the prop(ish); 2.76:1. If you were lying on the left side of the car before you pedants start!

Cheers Kev,
I'll give that a go! Adrian, The car has the original paint under the primer, but I'm guessing the sun has burnt most of it off hence the primer. Its in my lock up just now and when I get back home from off-shore I'm gonna try out that rolled on paint job. That should keep it rust free untill I can aford a decent paint job.

Well i've started this Roller Paint Job on the Duster. Ive only applied two coat's to the Fender's and the Rear Quarter. And only one so far the to trunk and Rear Pannel. Fairly easy to apply once you get the consistency right (As milesandmiles has posted before) The finnish is glassy already! All my neighbor's/ mates who where sceptical to say the lease before i started are suitably impressed!
