MP Pinion Snubber Fitment

Post by TyreFryer »

Fitted my Mopar Performance pinion snubber last night and something isn't right. At the lowest setting the body is resting on the pinion snubber. Could the only reason for this be that the springs are too flat? The car doesn't look that low at the back!

You have to shorten it. ;)

They are designed for Super Stock set-ups.

I can't remember exactly how I did mine but because of a bolt or something I have to use the pin in one hole in the lowered position and another in the raised. I think I cut about an inch of it? But it was so long ago i can't remember. :?

So I'll need to cut one hole length off the inner and outer tube dave?

Yeah. It looks like I just cut off one holes worth. :) When you raise it up you have to raise the pin up one hole too.

That looks like one of those electron microscope photos of a dust mite or something! LOL

You answered my other question too, two bolts are OK.

Cheers Dave.

Martin! I thought your car looked rather "saggy" at the back, but then I'm a SuperStock jacked up type o' guy! ;)

I have a cut down one somewhere (lord knows) for those Superstock - challenged moments....

My rear end's rather pert and my pinion snubber will probably never reach the body

Well I've shortened it by one hole as on Dave's and it's got about an 1/8" clearance fully retracted, so I guess the springs are a bit flat then.

I should have kept the snubber as it was and bought some super stock springs!

That ride to the Nats is gonna drive you mad , gonna be bouncing off the body with every bump , unless you gonna fit it @ the nats.

It is just two bolts. Fit it at the Nats as Adam says and make do for now.

I'd already decided to use the two bolts to adjust it rather than the pin, LOL.

Cheers.
