Gear Selector Rod

Post by Anonymous »

Put the valve body back in my box and thought the gear selector rod had engaged properly, Now I can't shift from park, is it just a case of dropping the valve body and messing with the selector, if so what is the easiest way?

Try disconnecting the rod from the selector and change through positions at the box, that will eliminate the linkage, if that does'nt work, and the valve body is handy to drop down make sure the selector at the body is not binding or on in the wrong position.( you should be able to drop it out without disconnecting the select mechanism i think) m ake sure you dont have anything stuck in one of the valves? :?

Got it sorted in the week, but done about 10-15 miles today and now it wont reverse or change into third gear :x first and second is spot on. Fitted a TCI rebuild kit, checked the bands and reset them last weekend. Any Ideas Need this sorting for the Nats

That's a bummer , hope you get it sorted.

You could always drive it to the Nats , dump it in Duncs pit area , then tell him you won't move it till he sorts it for ya.

Good luck.

That sounds like a linkage problem rather than a box problem.
