Yea , i use Kendalls , but who knows what has been taken out & when , the same may apply to magnatec , cos the oil manu don't tell ya.

Yeah that is poo poo but in reality they have something that bonds to the surface. Maybe some sort of oil soluble moly? It feels like moly.

It probably has but, it's still a modern oil meeting the latest API specs so doesn't contain the Zinc and other additives oils used to have.
GM engine oil suppliment is highly recommended for our engines, I may try and get hold of some.

Mick , been lookin for that GM EOS for a month , can't seem to get it over here.

Please let me know if you find some , got gallons & gallons of oil round the garage , just waiting for the GM to stick in it.

I used to supply EOS

found something better though, awaiting some arriving, sold by Joe Mondello as the dogs nuts

Also rumour has it that GM are discontinuing EOS, probably because of all the additives

was a big warning on the can, something like "caution can make yer nuts fall off"

I'll be using Magnatec 15w-40 A3/B3 because it has phosporous levels at 0.10% -0.12%. The new North American API rated oils have 0.06%-0.08% phosporous. (Phosporous is required when ZDTPs (Zinc) are added and this is the harmful stuff they want to get rid off.) Diesel oils have too much detergent and will find you an oil leak blocked up by sludge and will promote oil usage until the detergents have down their job.
