Where to get proper brakes?

Getting bored now with trying to sort the brakes out on the 69.

Does anyone know where I can get someone to custom build a complete and perhaps modern braking system?

What do peolple do when they build custom cars or rods?

My Taxi wears Strange front discs and Calipers, other bods wear Wilwood. Not too pricey, and lightweight

Wilwood and the like will not stop you very well.

There are other complete kits that are not light on performance but which the name of escapes me at the moment.

Anyway. Why not fit Viper brakes?

Want to start from scratch....from the servo and M/C right through.

My brakes are all over the place. They're not bad as far as effeciency goes but the car veers all over the place one minute then the next the rears lock up...then something else.

Just had enough...it's been a year trying to sort them and in a minute I'm gonna buy a box of swan vestas.

Usually that only happens with drum brakes. Just fitting front discs and a proportioning valve usually sorts that out.

Still trying to think of places for you to consider.

I'm all for improving/upgrading our cars,but,someone somewhere is doing something wrong with your stock brakes. My car,a lot heavier, is on stock discs/drums and pulls up evenly from 80mph no problem,passes the MoT fine each time. I don't get it

Like I said. Usually it is only drums that don't pull up straight.

I have never trusted ANYONE to work on my cars for me except on a few occasions. ALWAYS regretted it.

Random braking like that would point to sticking caliper pistons or contaminated pads or bad pad/ disc material combination. Poor braking from bad m/cyl ratio.
