I'm riding round with my car resting on the pinion snubber at the moment, haven't noticed any difference to the ride on the road.

140hp max for cast pistons, hence my fat fuel.

That will tear the rubber off the top very quicky. My mate did that by accident and I had to repair it for him.

You shouldn't need a snubber if you have SS springs.
They are just a band aid for weak springs.
