i have to laugh at all the horsepower talk nowadays, not this thread in particular, just when people constanlty go on about who has the most etc, whether the car has 200 or 2000 it makes no odds,

i used to always ask the racer, who helped me build my first baracuda's engine, what hp would this add, what would that add, how much is your cuda, how much is his duster etc etc etc, in the end he said to me
"mention bhp again and i'll push yer car into the street as it is and dump it there, horsepower figures, they dont mean squat, getting yer wheels up and thru the lights first is what matters, and if you're not first, just enjoy the ride anyways and learn, reliabilty and consistency is the key in the brackets, not how much money or how much bhp, what use is 750bhp if you cant react or drive, now do as your told and put that back on", i never asked him again, i rarely ask anyone ! he was right,

Totally agree, Hugh, but it's fun! :D I did put the option of "none, it blows up on the first pull" but forgot to tap the add poll option and by the time I noticed I couldn't edit it.

Actually my mate Dennis who's helping me with this nutty scheme already broke the input shaft on their old dyno. The new one is rated for 2000 pound feet of torque, so the smallblocks won't hurt it, but the hemi probably will.
I did discover that the new MSD Propower HVC coil ( that's an E core jobbie) is supposed to make 45KV at 1100mA, now the hemi will have two of those, that's a lot of spark energy......

this lame little chevy makes over 1500HP with a single turbo, actually if anyone wants it, well it's oop for sale, it'd go well in a Mopar, cor wouldn't that get tongues wagging at the nats!

Blimey I'd forgotten about this one, I've got the big bad twin turbo here now and we're working away to get the car done prior to it's trip over the pond. In the process we discovered what making lots of torque is really about. As for the NASCAR motor- which one I'm still waiting for Mr. Ritter to come up with the honing plates for the R5 block, but the whole thing's sitting there waiting to be assembled.
And Dale the fibreglass is buying the old Procharger W7 off me and we'll dyno that when he gets here, so if it does blow up at least he can witness it ;)
Must go Needy little varmints need my attention, cat, kids goldfish....
