Great post, car will be fab, keep the pics coming
Reminds me that I once removed my Challenger bonnet on my own - with no lifting gear or anything. Halfway through (balanced on piece of wood and with arms stretched to limits
) I decided it was not a one man job and that the chances of damaging it or myself were high!!! But I was past the point of no return, somehow managed to complete it successfully. Live and Learn!!!

The car indoors is Noels 65 Coronet (black), it's been to a few Mopar Nats but not the last 2 now. needs new power steering box and pump or conversion to manual, ITs a cruising car i think he should keep it power.
The car outside under a cover is a 1966 Mustang, just been imported from the States and is awaiting a new pitman arm for the stearing cos the idiots that loaded it into the container used a forklift and broke it. The owner 'Rick' is getting a whole load of stuff at the same time, should be good when it gets registered and on the road.
Sorry no Ausi charger.

Ivor thats what i decided to do today, Everything is now loose.
Drive Shaft is off, but had a real hassle with the clutch assembly. The mongrel that converted it to manual from auto created some kind of Frankenstine setup. I'm about to look up what it should be like and work out if i can get the bits, or convert it back to auto. Boy was the air blue, glad nobody could hear me.
I have to leave it in place and raise the car slowly to see if i can disengage it, or a second bod in the car to move the peddle as it seems to want to spring to the floor.
Obviously i need to disconnect the steering too, do i just undo column from inside to disengage from the PS box. (there is no retaining bolt at the box/column junction, which there should be) difo would not pass inspection at the DVS (Driver Vehicle Standards).

£300!!!
Bet the carriage home cost a bit though.
A lift is just luxury. We are lucky that the guy who owns the barns ours is stored in has a lift and hires it out to friends for a measly £10 a day. So last weekends debacle only cost us £30, but life SO much easier! Trouble is, you get to see some 'orrible sights underneath it that you couldn't see when it all half an inch above your nose!
Loving that Black Fish by the way.

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not…

When i was taking the lift appart an old school friend was there taking another lift for a client. He had a lorry with a lift crane (handy). Asked him if he could come back and help with mine, cost £30, result. Another £20 in decent floor bolts. Bought Wednesday, picked up and rebuilt Saturday, and connected to the 3-phase Sunday. All in and fitted for £350.

Go steady with that magnum force kit, it puts the whole weight of the front end on the shock absorber brackets which were never designed for that load. You would need to tie the whole lot in to a rollcage to make it rigid enough in my opinion. I have also read of issues regarding the strength of the spindles for street use, and also there have been problems getting the aligment within specs. I believe this is a strip only kit regardless of what magnum farce say or how many they fit to cars on the telly....
