Does anyone have an idea how thick the foam is on the insert and the edges of a 70 charger bucket seat?

nope, but according to the catalogue, you can buy new foams for a 70 from Legendary Autos

I just re-foamed my Charger fronts with Legendary foams and covers.
They are super, really worth the money. (I now sit 4" higher than before

)

Quite a long job though.

when I ordered my new covers I was led to believe that foams weren’t available for ’70 Charger. the trimmer that fitted the covers for me added foam ‘manually’ as necessary, to add to the existing foam, which was still in pretty good nic
