its a good motor though

its the only one i know where you have to fill it to max mark on the dip stick.

getting the dipstick tube in the right depth was never a strong point at Chrysler Australia

and you still have a good half mile to go before the cranks dips into it

crank scarper and baffled sump is a popular upgrade

yea when my engine is warmed up it sits at just over 20 on idle, then when abouve 2500rpm its at about 65.

Yeah OK folks. Everyones engine does that. But usually the factory limiti it to 45-55psi unless it is a High Perf engine where they fit a stronger spring in the pump.

Just to update this, I switched from 20/50 to 10/40 and saw no real drop in pressure. I started chopping coils off the bypass spring until I just had some preload on the valve when I screwed the plug in. 3 coils off and I now have 40 psi hot at idle and a swift increase to a maximum of 80 when you bring the revs up. Still waiting for the Milodon adjustable kit to come, when I get that installed I hope to be able to dial it in to around 20 at idle and 65 max, hey there might even be some horsepower in it....
