Has anyone got any views on this. the spigot bush for the end of the crankshaft is normally phozzy bronze but the new one I have recieved is made from steel (I know this because its magnetic) the supplier says they are all now like this what do you think, should I use it ?

is it for a manual trans, if so steel wont work it needt to be a bearing material , phosphur bronze is ok but the best stuff is called oil-lite, its a bronze alloy that is impregnated with oil (dont know exactly how) and is one of the best self lubricating bearing materials you can get. if you want one made i have phozzy in stock.
