Killer would the 440 one fit my 383, and would i be correct thinking the spacer needed would go between the head and manifold.. ?

I think im right in saying you need 1/2 inch spacers each side...on the head to make the 440 manifold fit the 383
And a 440 valley tray
Now im not so sure might be the other way round as the 440 is taller so wider
wait for Dave to see it he has more books than me ...and i cant find the spacers or reference on the net ??

THat would be OK-ish on the street but would kill it on the track.
Started Julie's car this morning - Tunnel rams HATE cold and damp, took ages to get the car to idle; not wonderfully streetable but great fun.

Has anyone used a tunnel ram with a single carb on instead of 2

Just wondered what sort of difference there would be.

You can get a single carb top for a tunnel ram but

maybe for street use and twins for race.
Loose convertor ....OR lots more torque, as thats what you'll lose down low

Seen the single carb tops on Ebay and was wandering why.
