are there any regs concerning bumpers in the mot test (ie changing to carbon fibre/fibre glass bumper)

There's nothing to stop you going over to fibreglass,might pay to tell your insurer when you put it on the road.
Anyhow,how much weight you aiming to lose? I'm toying with making moulds for boot,bonnet,front wings and bumpers on mine. That would be 3 to 4 hundredweight off. :lol:

changing to glass or carbon dosnt come into the mot, protrusions or sharp edges do. as latil said, be sure to inform your insurer of the change (tell them its a safer more ergonomicaly friendly part :D ) yor premium might even drop if you can persuede them that its better for a pedestrian in an accident :lol:
