727 Noise?

Post by Steve Chapman »

Noticed a slight groaning/ rumbling noise while stationary in traffic today coming from the tunnel area. When i had a look underneath there is a bit of lift in the gearbox output pinion. Not being aufait with the 727 , can the rear pinion bearing be removed in situ or is it a box out job. Thanks

you will have to take the extension hsg off to change the rear bush n seal, 6 bolts hold the housing to the rear off the box, remove the rear rubber mnt and you will see a small plate with philips screws holdin it remove the plate and there is a circlip open that up and slide the housing off at the same time ;)
