rather be the slowest 11 second car than the fastest 12 second....
I dont see a problem with trying to pair up with similar cars though...

In the US they have a cutoff of 1974 for their stock appearing cars, because they know that, fully falling within the rules, the newer cars would blow the doors off the older ones.

I do understand what you are trying to do Pete. Please don't think I am poo pooing it.
Thinking about it more I guess I would like to run against cars that are about the same ET as mine.
I am just not sure how many would be interested on the day or even if you can pull it off at all.

Stockers and strokers

Post by Anonymous »

Hi Pete,

You certainly started somefing here dude!!!
People still gettin confussed about Stocker and Stock appearin? Dare I mention Stroker, maybe not???

My mate wants to run his Stock Dart but it runs 22's, I think with a bit of tweakin and sum 4star, it will do a 20.00 possibly?
Factory spec says it should run a 17, and he's very upset!!! So he wants to turn it into 69 Hemi Superstocker so he can run in the nines?

I think either way he won't find anyone to run against?
Too fast, Too slow??? Either way its a quandry!!!

Personally I fink he should buy a B-Bod and get a life!!!

See you on the track Pete, what time you gonna run? Hope its 12's
Give us a pm about coming over to help out, Baccy.

The MoPar Nats have run bracket racing before.

First one was won by a 67 Firebird.

The following year by a 1970 Buick convertible.

It then got abandoned ... for obvious reasons :D
