Any one got any tips on how to remove chrome without damaging the metal underneath?

Would acid dip em but Im a tight ass, plus the chrome was coming off real easy. Its just round the edges its stuck like s**t to a blanket! Knightcharger you taking the Michael on the cillit bang?

Sorry mate just trying to add a bit sunshine :roll:
If you find a local chrome plater he will strip the chrome off for you basically they reverse the chroming process and the chrome comes of your bumper and is deposited it on the electrical anodes.
It is not to expensive if you get a decent company.
its hard to do it any other way as the chrome is harder than the bas metal and if you grind or Bananarama! it tends to leave dips in the bumper.
