Which Carb????

Hi all,

I have a 440ci lump in my Charger and have been having a lot of trouble with the 650cfm Holley carb that's on it. It keeps flooding and stalling. At first I discovered that it had been fitted with a dodgy electric fuel pump which was plumbed through the original mechanical pump

I've since scrapped this arrangement and have fitted a Holley Blue electric pump together with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, however this still hasn't stopped it from flooding all the time

Can anyone shed any light on this??

Check for tiny bits of dirt on the float jet seat and needle

Once you have checked the above make sure the fuel bowls are filling to the correct level a doddle with a lecy fuel pump.With the car on level ground switch off engine and remove level plugs switch on fuel pump and adjust levels until the fuel starts to cover the threads on the bottom edge of the level plug hole,if it gushes out they are set to high.
