Post by andyrob »

without jeffs permission  I pulled it to bits
what started off as takin the box out for mr watts to repair has progessed, to ive give it a bit of a tidy up underneath........to almost full resto underneath, in boot & engine bay
luckly most the nuts & bolts cam to bits no problem, eh well even the loose ones ! (you have been quite lucky jeff)
found several broke teeth in the bottom of axle case, but diff looks spot on so must have had a diff or two in its time
heres a few photos

Did those torsion bars come out OK Andy? They are usually buggers to shift.

hi steve it is 'rost off'
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=014
it good stuff, but not if you cannot get the bolt started, I think I will probable spend hours cutting them off from the back

Good that you are showing the old girl a bit of TLC Andy. Rust always looks worse with a camera flash...are you going to underseal her when your are done painting the underside?
What are you planning with the suspension?

How about one of these tubular suspension set ups?

Not that I'm trying to spend your money for ya! :D

Dangerous and even potentially lethal. I wouldn't go near one.
