hello all ,when i was looking to buy a charger few years ago came across this ,the guy emailed me pic and info ,see what you think,

Good day,

First of all I must thank you for your interest in purchasing my car and for your email.

I want to let you know all the details about the car so everything will work fine.

The car is in a perfect looking and working condition. It was kept only for collection, so the mileage is low on it; it can be used like an every day car. It has no scratches or any kind of damages, no rust or bondo, everything works on it. The motor runs very well. This is a classic car that has a lot of the original parts and the tires are almost new. The title is clear.

This is a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T Hemi. This 1969 Hemi Charger R/T has 13,000 original mile, 100% numbers matching example in its original color of R6 Red with a black vinyl top and black interior. Also equipped with the factory light group, Track Pak with 3.54:1 Dana 60 Sure Grip rear axle, D21 Close Ratio 4 speed, tachometer with clock, Music Master radio, hood mounted turn signals, 3 speed windshield wipers, remote outside mirrors, and ...more.

The photos are recent and show the condition of the car, so please take a look at them. I attached them in this email.

The price I want to obtain on it it is $12,800 US.

If you are interested in buying the car please contact me further.

Thank you, I will be waiting your email.

If it was an ad from 1985, yeah maybe...3 years ago me think not.

Maybe you should've asked him if he'll refund your air fair when you view/buy it?

What I never understand is, why do these scammer muppets always say an unrealistic price? Surely more people would fall for their scam if they put a price more fitting to the car, am I missing something?

Greed, mate! If it was real money and you didn't really want it you'd not buy it. If someone wanted to sell me a SuperBird for 100k I'd say no, if one came up, found in a garage, by a little old woman at my Mum's church, Just take it away and give me £5000, yes, it's got them weird baking trays with plugs in the middle on the top of the motor and some 43's on the side and it's a nice shade of gay blue with a roll cage, yeah! I'd buy that! :thumbright:
