Magnum Force K Members
I want to change the k member on my 65' belvedere for a tubular light wieght type with coil overs, disc conversion and rack conversion. Found magnum force web site and looked round for anything else,
but can't find any cheaper alternatives.
ANY IDEAS OUT THERE.

i agree with pete, alterkation is the way to go, bill reilly (the man behind it) is a top guy, check out bigblockdart.com and this link http://www.reillymotorsports.com/store/home.php ask blue he has one of these setups and its a nice bit of kit
too much is never enough
Magnum
Hi Folks,
Tried to buy a complete Magnum Force set for a B-Bod a couple of years back and was totally messed about by them.
They don't like overseas buyers for some strange reason.
Apart from that, this system reverses the steering arms, and that is highly undesirable for Street use!
I would take notice of Blue/trevD advice, and go for AlterKation.
Probably the only replacement K-member on the market that works!
Baccy.

Yes the Magnum Farce cocks up the akermann angles completely, no good for anything other than going straight ahead. There are also issues with bump steer, and they are not bolt in, they need to be tied in to the rollcage for proper strength. There have been quality issues and thier customer service is second only to Indy cylinder head, who have about the worst reputation of anyone to deal with. Another point worth mentioning is that if you already have manual steering and lightweight brakes you will not save huge amounts of weight with any of these kits, I only saw about a 25lb saving when I fitted mine. What you will get is header clearance and oil pan space the likes of which you have never seen on a Mopar.
“It’s good enough for Nancy”
Alterations
Hi Nasher,
Difficult one this!
Steering geometry is a very complex subject, and although Mopar front suspension isnt great, its ok for most applications.
Changing to Coilovers and Rack/pinion steering is a good idea on paper, but is it really worth the trouble?
Personally I would stick with upgraded Torsion bars and a good quality steeringbox, then put the money into other things.
If you want get rid of frontend weight, buy Duncan's all ALI HEMI???
Much more street cred than coilovers and a Mustang steering rack.
Food for thought, Baccy.
