Cuda interior panels

Post by Anonymous »

Anyone got experience of new interior door panels?

Having looked around there are several suppliers, with not much difference in prices.

Who offers the best fit and finish?

Am I gonna be the first of many to say Legendary. I'm chuffed to bits with the quality and I got a great deal by going to Dante's restoration Parts in the States...very knowledgeable guy and a Mopar specialist.

I quote "1970 B7 blue Road Runner with the decor group interior? the carpet will be shade number 13" and not many people know that... :)

OK, Legendary for seat covers - but what about the moulded door panels for a Cuda? I`ve heard reports that the fit was not good in the past - but may have improved of late.

Anyone dealt with 1AAuto or JimsAuto parts?

I had heard the quality of the repro panels was not good. The finish not being very well defined. This was a while ago though.

Ivor, I wondered where Dantes got their stock from, as they have a Legendary logo on ther page.

Are the Palco manufactured panels the ones to have?

Sorry Neil, I don't know, but the legendary stuff, plus some other stuff I got from Dante's, like the whole interior, was super quality.

The Cuda stuff is moulded vinyl isn't it? so repro tooling is gonna be very expensive to get it right...I think this is one for Dave's message board!

The experience I have had with legendary hard panels (door and quarter panels) is not good, better to find original used and re colour them IMO, fit is poor and the detail is lacking

Mmmm, this is not good news :?

OK I`ll put something up on Daves` board and see what the Chally guys response is. Might try the Mopar boards as well.
