Tis real heavy , foil backed tar , major job to get rid of it , put it in when i built the car to stock , must go 150 LBS , bit more gas then.

After cutting , grinding & manipulating the 3 inch box steel to fit the two inch frame rails , finaly got drivers side buttoned up , no sign of Gary for fire duty , probably down to us bein on the lash & not gettin in till 4 in the mornin.

Had to fit the new firm feel P/S box first , so i could get the Pit out the garage without the front wheels folding in & out , the existing pitman arm would'nt go on the new box

, so spent an hour messin about putting the old box back on.

AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

One finished the other tacked , the light beat us.

Had to fabricate from 3 inch down to two , so a bit of messing about , thanks to gary for giving a hand.

Seems to of tightened it up , lifted one side 3 inches & the other wheel started to lift , where as before the wheel had to be lifted 8 inches for the other side to even lift off the suspension , so an improvement.

That was the first thing I noticed with mine. Jacked the front subframe up to take the wheel off and the rear came up as well. Before the chassis connectors the rear wheel stayed on the ground.

Excellent, thats a step in the right direction mate.

You can have a bit of those seat bolts while your underneath, save a few grams

Think i'll cut the prop loop bolts down too.

Slapped a bit of hammerite on there for the mo (bare metal) , will tidy it up when i get a chance.
