When i had my A-Team van based reliant, i stared death in the face many a time.

Have you had any scary near death experience's?

Years back,on a hot day,I was washing engine parts in a shed with petrol. I can remember the pretty lights, the buzzing like a wasp inside my head and the sound like a pistol shot. That was the point where I passed out, luckily near the door and in to fresh air. I don't know how long I was out,it was around 1.30pm when it happened and 1.50pm when I came to and saw the time.

not near death exactly but when i was working petrol station sombody drove up to the pump carmly got out the car lifted the bonnet to be confronted with a 5ft fire ball

after calmly calling the fire brigade turning the fuel pumps off putting out the fire coning off the petrol station and evacuating everyone i asked the guy why he parked there when he could see it was on fire he said haha and i quote "i didnt want to cause a tailback on the road" funny now but at the time and somtimes when i look back could have been very bad

Mashed up big style on me M/Cycle, 17 years old. Fractured skull, fractured leg, fractured jaw blah blah, unconscious for two weeks, I thought that was it  .......

Until......... Bloody big shark (great white) got hold of me when surfing off Bondi beech  Tore me leg and arse to bits, lost loads of claret but managed to escape to shore ;)

Then.........had to ditch in the sea (Pacific) when we had a complete hydraulics failure in a J/P trainer building jet hours. I thought how did we survive that  then I thought, oh no, bloody sharks :help:

Too many to list, mostly to do with bikes and cars. Nothing as bad as some of you lot. While racing my Yamaha R1 at Pembrey, second to last race of the year, and it was a race I didn't need to do, high-sided on the first lap while in fourth place. Was doing about 90mph, about 8ft off the ground, landed ahead of my bike. Bike beat me up as we both slid off the track. Crushed right foot, bit of concusion, impact damage to most of my joints. Six weeks in plaster. Could've been a lot worse.

Aussie Charger brakes gave me a couple of memorable heart stoppers.

Yep stared death in the face alright, Bloke coming straight at me at 75+ driving down the wrong way of a motorway contraflow system, most likely an attempted suicide the police told me after wards. Keeping my cool and a last minute swerve, plus a measure of good luck meant Mo and myself walked away unhurt even though the van was written off. He wrote off 2 other cars and what was left of him was pronounced dead at the scene. Nasty.
