I refer the learned Gent to this thread, when it was dissed as a Buell copy in concept stage, I think it looked better then.......

come on killer you should know not to mess about with rice burners, get a buell.

i will never forget having a go on me dads xb12s, not the fastest bike around by far but it was a bit of an eye opener, just throttle response and handling alone i would buy one, even better with a straight through can :thumbright: :thumbright:

I got to be honest, the MT-01 is pants. Its 1700cc, vibrates like hell, only revs to 5500rpm, and makes a pathetic 100 horses (not a lot for such a heavy bike). Looks nice, but it's just a styling exercise. :(

I got a Yamaha FZ1. 150 horses, less than 200 kilos, not quite so muscular, but goes like stink. Smooth as you like, easy to ride round town, pops wheelies all the way through the box, it's a proper street-fighter.

Rice burners beat yanky crap any day. You'd have to replace every component in the engine to get that sort of performance from a Harley. My Yam is de-tuned to 150hp. Tuned motors will easily top 200hp. :D

Stunning bike in the flesh, the hp figs don't sound impressive but such a big lazy motor is gonna be so nice to ride and have stump-pulling torque.

Hardley-Ableson been tryin for 100-odd years and still can't come up with summat this good. :P

Too right.

My comments about the MT-01 are based on the fact I have ridden one. I've got to be honest, the only big V-twins that I like are sports bikes, i.e. Ducati, Aprillia RSV, Suzuki SV, etc. They are a lot smoother, rev higher, and weigh less.

I'm gonna contradict myself now, but cars I like for styling. Bikes I like for riding. I get bored at bike shows because I find bikes don't excite me on the styling front.

By the way, I only ride a bike with no fairing to keep my speed down, and hopefully keep my licence... ;)

I like most bikes, but styling and different approach, like the MT-01 appeal to me most....
..If i could find a nice one this would be in my garage, with a Norman Hyde 850 conversion too 8-) :thumbright: 8-)
