I know many people that run their engines up to 7500rpm on the stock tach. I used to myself.

Only I realised the factory tach was reading way too high. Quite a few people I have met over the years didn't realise the factory tach is not worth glancing at. :D

Only a pro built yank V8 with expensive internals is going to live long over 6500rpm. That is asking for trouble.

Can`t tell you too much about it til I get the gearbox sorted and up and running !!
